DoC software enables you to print from any application with copies, overlays and logos. You can print single or two-sided, with or without toner saving. You can print from any combination of input trays to different output bins. You can print documents to your local printer and copies to other printers - all automatically.
The program you receive is a complete version, but until it is registered, it will be restricted to:
Full functionality is unlocked on registration.
There are two stages to the installation.
The DoCCommander program is used to configure and administer DoC. This can be found in ‘Start -> Programs -> AptDoC’.
Use the ’Select’ button on the Printer Tab page to bring up
the Print Dialog Box to choose a destination printer.
Select the destination printer from the dropdown list.
Click OK. When you complete configuration, you will be prompted to add a ’DoC’ printer.
Click yes to display the ’Add Printer’ dialog box. You can use the suggested name or enter another.
Use the ‘Options’ tab to select the number of input trays and output bins available, choose the default paper size and tray mapping. (If you select ‘Media Type’ then tray selection is done by tray mapping rather than physical position so you also need to set the same mapping in the ‘Paper handling’ menu on the output printer.) In this tab, you can also set the default paper size, input tray and output bin. Default will only be used when no other selection is made.
Select ‘Use PopUp Menu’ to print using the PopUp Menu. If DoC is installed on the server, you must ensure that the ‘Use PopUp Menu’ check box is clear. However, if you need to use the PopUp menu, installing DoC WorkStation on each PC enables you to use PopUp menu.
You have now configured DoC with one DoCPort. Repeat these steps to configure the other DoCPorts.
Details on creating print profiles and overlays are in the user manual.
This completes the basic installation. You should send a test print to the DoC printer and check that it prints correctly to the destination printer.
